L’Obit Ouest is nestled within the rolling countryside of the Aude region, with far reaching views in all directions.

Despite it’s secluded countryside location, L’Obit Ouest is easily accessible to amenities, restaurants and shops in a variety of towns and villages, all within a 5-30 minute drive.

About the owners

We’re Simon and Phoebe, we live in Bristol (England), with our baby daughter Ophelia and dog Rufus. We make the most of any time we can spend at L’Obit Ouest, and want guests to experience the accommodation as a home from home.

It was whilst on Honeymoon in Languedoc Rousillon in August 2018 that our love for the region kicked off the dream of owning a home out here. Exactly four years later, in August 2022, we finally got the keys to L’Obit Ouest, when our daughter was just seven months old.

We fell in love with the old barn style straight away, but have grand plans for L’Obit Ouest to maximise it’s charm and potential – we look forward to sharing the transformation with guests over the years to come. Please see our Blog for more information…
